95% Syrah, 3% Roussanne, 2% Clairette Blanche
The 2014 Intrepid crosses over to the dark side by transitioning to a Black Label wine as it showcases our most expressive Syrah to date. Co-fermented with Roussanne and Clairette Blanche, it is wildly complex by integrating baking spices, black orchids and hints of smoke. While there is ample fruit on the forefront with black cherry and blueberry, its fleshy mid-palate transports you to a butcher shop filled of wild game and pepper. The opulent tannin structure, invigorating acidity and persistent finish create a stunning display of aromas and flavors that will continue to reinvent themselves from nose, to palate, and beyond over the next 15-20 years.
