Crafted thoughtfully each year, there is an incredible drive to the wine. It is alive and focused, flaunting a beautiful acidity that carries an obvious energy throughout. Raspberry, cranberry, wild strawberry, spice, dried herbs, dark red fruit and violet jump out of the glass, preparing you for what comes next. The medium-plus tannins are puckering at the front of the palate but lead into a velvety embrace. Despite its medium-plus to full body and considerable concentration of flavors, The Nines feels light on its feet as it glides across the palate with a noticeable resurgence of flavor on an impossibly long and complex finish.
