66% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, 6% Carignan, 2% Syrah $40
Crafted with care and purpose, the 2024 Rosé boasts a composition of 53% hand-selected Grenache and Mourvèdre, contributing to its vibrant acidity and refreshing profile. The saignée fractions from meticulously chosen Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Syrah lots impart body and a luscious fullness on the mid-palate, creating a Rosé reminiscent of Bandol. A touch of skin contact from the Mourvèdre enhances color, tannins, and flavor. Aging was split: 34% in stainless steel for five months, and the remainder in neutral large format puncheons or barrels.
Dominated by Grenache, this salmon-hued gem offers a bouquet of white florals, crisp red fruits like strawberry, and subtle herbaceous notes, all complemented by Mourvèdre's hints of citrus zest, juicy peach, and pear. Carignan adds rustic charm and red-fruited zest, while Syrah deepens the color and mid-palate richness.
This Rosé is a standout now, yet it's worth tucking away a few bottles for a year or two to experience its full potential.
